Daniel S. Tanita, DDS. General, Staff

Dr. Tanita and staff are committed to meeting the dental, medical, personal, and financial needs of each of our patients. Through our coordinated team effort we seek to treat dental disease, relieve pain and suffering, and help our patients feel better about themselves.

	Melinda Pinlac, RDH Registered Dental Hygienist Melinda was born in San Francisco and lived in the Philippines for four years. After that, she grew up in the Rodeo-Hercules area. Melinda started working as a dental assistant in 2001. She has experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in orthodontics, general and pediatric dentistry. In 2006 she graduated from the dental hygiene program at Chabot College in Hayward and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since then. She is an avid Bible student and regularly volunteers at dental clinics in New York. She enjoys singing karaoke, hiking and traveling. Melinda loves different cultures, and is currently learning the Punjabi and Hindi languages.
	Egda Haro, RDA Registered Dental Hygienist Egda grew up here in the East Bay. She graduated from Albany High in 1997. In 2001 she graduated from Contra Costa College with a certificate in Dental Assisting. She got her RDA license in 2002. She went back to school and also got her Medical Assisting certificate in 2004. She has worked with Dr. Tanita since 2001. Egda has learned so much and has grown to be a great dental assistant. Life has been a journey. She is a proud mother of 4 children: Adriel 13, Arianna 11, Andrew 5 and Mattios Noah 4 months. Her children keep her very busy and active. When she gets a chance, she and husband Noe enjoy spending some alone time wine tasting in the Napa valley.
	Kym Malnik, RDH Registered Dental Hygienist Kym was born in Oakland and was raised in Pleasant Hill her entire childhood. She attended Carondelet High School in Concord and then St. Mary's College in Rheem. She studied Dental Hygiene at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill and graduated in 1981. Next year she will be celebrating 30 years as a hygienist and she still loves her profession. After many years in the Bay Area, Kym moved to the Sierra foothills town of Coursegold where she thrives on the outdoor life of hiking and especially fishing. She recently joined the Gem and Mineral Society. This past year she decided to try dancing Hula, since she has a brother that lives in Maui. She loves to dance and her plans are to continue to pursue the “Art of Hula” as she enjoys being with her Hula sisters.
	Caroline Ruaro Business Assistant Caroline was born and raised in San Francisco where she attended Balboa High School and City College of San Francisco. She moved to the East Bay in 1999. Caroline is happily married to husband Charlie and is a mother of two, Christion 15 and Crystel 10. She loves spending time with family. Her hobbies are reading and dancing hula. She has worked for Dr. Tanita for one year now. “Dr. Tanita and his office staff are wonderful to work with. I feel like I am surrounded by family.”
	Charisse Chin-Le Office Manager A native of San Francisco, Charisse graduated from Galileo High School and San Francisco State University. Charisse has over 30 years of experience in the Dental Profession in the area of Managerial Administration. Charisse is Dr. Tanita's Office Manager and recently celebrated her 17th year with the practice. She loves our patients and has found her service to the community very rewarding. Charisse is married to husband Quoc. She has a son Jeff, his wife Cattleya, granddaughter Kayley who will be 2 years old, and younger son Christopther. Her interests are traveling, reading and teaching Hula.
	Ana Mendoza Dental Assistant Ana was born and raised in San Pablo, California. She graduated from Richmond High in 2001. After high school she attended Contra Costa College. Ana is happily married and has a beautiful daughter Mariana who is 2 years old. She has worked for Dr. Tanita for over 5 years. She loves being a dental assistant and helping patients to feel comfortable. Ana know first-hand what a great dentist Dr. Tanita is. She has been a patient of his since she was just old enough to sit in the dental chair. Ana remembers being scared and Dr. Tanita talking to her in his kind and patient voice. She feels very blessed to have an employer and co-workers that are like family.
	Laura Flores Appointment Scheduler Laura graduated from Richmond High School and after graduating attended Contra Costa College. She has had six years of experience in the dental profession, and has been employed in Dr. Tanita's office for 3 years. As the appointment coordinator Laura enjoys working with patients and seeing their wonderful smiles. She is happily married and has 3 beautiful children, Brian, Natalie and Rodrigo. Laura is grateful to have the opportunity to work with the best doctor, office manager and fellow co-workers.
