Dr. Tanita was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He received his undergraduate education at Seattle Pacific University and his professional degree at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Tanita continues his advanced education in many areas. Specifically he has received advanced training at the L.D. Pankey Institure in Key Biscayne, Florida in Occlusion, TMJ disorders and Complex Restorative Procedures. He has also had advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco with Dr. Harry Albers. He belongs to several professional organizations and societies and is active in community service in West Contra Costa. His volunteer activities include an annual Free Dental Clinic for low income children and volunteer director at the Brookside Community Dental Clinic.
